It is really hard for me to see pictures of my very young nieces in school and social settings without masks. COVID has gone through their house more than once and it will happen more I'm sure.

I cannot imagine how upset I would be if the ME/CFS that I have lived with for almost 15 years was the result of something my parents had known about and chosen not to even try and protect me from.

@AlwaysInFlannel Gosh, I'm so with you on that! That parents aren't up in arms and on the streets demanding better protections for children is mind - boggling for me! We're doing our bit, masking everywhere indoors, trying to convince the school and teachers but the ignorance that was sown by govts worldwide is hard to overcome.

@TigerlilyNZ The government with the help of media says it's over and people want to believe it. These are super smart people too. Under any other circumstances, they would never knowingly put their kids in danger, but they are. I don't understand the mass delusion happening right now as people continue to get sick. There's a major disconnect. I don't want people to act only after they have been harmed, but that seems to be how it's going.

@AlwaysInFlannel It's an absolute tragedy and it frustrates me to no end. I'm trying to convince my more open friends to wear masks again and point them to new info about covid but they either deflect or ignore it. What annoys me even more is that their ignorance puts my family at risk cause our individual actions have limitations. And our kids will pay the price for that. It's unfathomable.
