Question for my traumatic brain injury trunkies:
Does your capacity fluctuate with being tired, stressed, sick etc or are your limitations/capabilities more static regardless of the other ups and downs of life?
I am wondering if impact-type brain injuries have more/less flux than illness related cog/coordination issues.

Dropping a #longCovid too in case that crowd wants to lurk on replies.

@vlrny I haven’t had a brain injury, but I relate to not knowing what the hell is causing what. That’s so much going on with me, it’s impossible to what the origin is. I hope you get some helpful info.
@vlrny My brain injury was caused by viral meningitis, I have a diagnosis of ME/cfs since 2009. My symptoms definitely depend on tiredness, over exertion and other factors, but can also happen for no reason other than the ME feels like it.
@vlrny I have a questionable diagnosis of fibromyalgia and haven’t figured out when too activity will trigger a flare. Also stress will bring on a flare and I have to arrange my life around that if I know the stress is coming or after it’s gone. I record all this but flares still ambush me and I have no idea why.
@AllysonShaw I had a really good doc early days had good CFS strategy. she made a list of relapse/flare triggers:
1) environmental
2) diet
3) stress/pacing
4) meds
5) random
It's hard enough trying to suss out the multiple variables in 1-4 but 5) just makes ya... *heavy sigh*
@vlrny yeah, exactly, especially if you are trying to find triggers in 1-4 in order to eliminate them!
