One of our two black cats also has it, the other just has the fur falling differently there due to more movement.

@mirabilos @irina Yep, he doesn't have secret stripes anywhere else but he does on the tip of his tail.

@elmiller0330 @mirabilos We had a cat once that started out as a very dark tabby kitten. As an adult she was completely shiny-black but the stripes were faintly visible in strong sunlight.

@elmiller0330 @irina Čara still gets brownish in the sunlight and you can see the M on her head. Malik is pitch black. Both are blck cats, unless you put them next to each other you don’t see it.

@mirabilos @irina Melanism in cats is so weird and fun. They all still have their markings, it's just that the black comes in over them.
